An episode of ozone pollution continued in Alsace this Thursday afternoon.
ATMO Grand Est, the association responsible for air quality monitoring and forecasting, has announced that a level 1 warning threshold procedure has been initiated in Bas-Rhin.
29°C in Strasbourg
It is a “summer”-type episode that combines concentrations of VOCs always associated with human activity (road traffic, industry, settlements) and strong solar radiation accompanied by high temperatures (it was 29 °C this Thursday afternoon in Strasbourg).
Even if more clouds are expected, the trend is not improving this Friday. The warning procedure for persistent pollution will therefore continue this Friday in Bas-Rhin.
