On the morning of Friday, July 26, on the slipway of the historic Bonnin-Bossuet shipyards, the Ti’Bac “Return” was blessed and launched: a completely livable sailboat made of epoxy with a laminate wood cover. Basin except for the electric motor manufactured in Vannes by Hy G motors of France.
Alexis Bonnin, co-manager of the site yachting, defined the characteristics of the boat designed by Jean-Baptiste Bossuet, the company’s architect and partner. Both are sixth generation builders of two yards.

It is profiled for a sail with dimensions of 20 m². “Go Back” is the third Ti’Bac of 2024 and the sixteenth in the series. Construction required 1,000 hours of work by teams of shipwrights, carpenters, painters and multi-purpose marine workers.
The Ti’Bac can accommodate eight people and the warm cabin is equipped with plenty of storage space. Two benches allowing for two beds. “I am happy to buy such a boat that is compatible with the protection of the marine environment. The name I gave it is in memory of the Beatles, a group I was a fan of,” explains the boat’s owner, Pierre Béraud-Sudreau.
Father Queiroy, from the Parish of Arcachon-La Teste, performed the traditional blessing of the boat, invoking divine grace “on all the people who live at sea, on those who built the boat and on all people. enjoy swimming. Finally, the godmother of the boat, Mathilde Béraud-Sudreau, the owner’s wife, broke the traditional champagne bottle. Later, the boat was launched for the first navigation in the Basin.
